Girlfriends H22 EK Hatch, almost done
This is my Girlfriend Leia's 98 Civic EK HB.
She bought a JDM h22 from Hmotorsonline last march to get ready to be built.
Using Darton Sleeves, Endyn Rollerwave 9.1 FI Pistons and Eagle Rods on the bottom end. Basically bulletproof.
Shortly after we installed the h22 and broke it in normal aspirated.
I started last week ordering all the flanges and parts to get ready for the turbo setup.
The manifold came out pretty decent, I have a serious problems making manifolds because I'm a very impatient person and cant handle taking hours and hours making these silly things
However, using a Shitbird collector made everything alot easier.
We have a big race coming up this next saturday so we decided to use all my turbo stuff from my built ls/vtec on her car. The Snail of choice is a 62-1 T3/T4 Ball Bearing. Also be using my Tial 40mm Wastegate.
Suprisingly there is alot of room even with a H22 in the EK engine bay. I had no clearence problems with anything.
People always ask me, "what do you use to cut out the front bumper" Simple, Air hacksaw! best damn tool ever, you can cut the front bumper out real nice.
Mocking the CustomCoach 8in Intercooler.
Classic HMT right here... Nothing like coat hanger welding 8) My buddy Ted owns all with the oxygen acetylene torch. (thanks again for letting me use your kick *** garage the past few days)
3in Downpipe, it was a little tricky getting that downpipe to fit on that 5 bolt flange. We are still waiting for the Electric cutout that will be install later on. Basically it will have a stock exhaust system w/ a E-cutout 3in.
Big Thanks to Steve Stealthmode for the oil lines & fittings.
Oil Return came out pretty simple..
Charge pipes, 2.5in mandrel painted flat black. Also using Napa Silicone connectors, works perfect.
Engine Bay shot,
All Done, unfortunetly I dont have a burner so I couldnt put a FI map on, so I'm driving up to bellingham tomorrow to get this thing street tuned.
Specs..
JDM H22 w/ Factory LSD (stock head)
Darton Sleeves
9.1 Endyn Rollerwave Pistons
Eagle H Beam rods
Turbonetics 62-1 T3/T4 Turbo
Tial 40mm Wastegate (12psi spring)
Tial 50mm Blow off valve
2.5in Charge piping
Custom Coach 8in IC
Custom Turbo manifold w/ Shitbird Collector
Stealthmode Oil line kit
3.0 in Mandrel Downpipe
950cc Venom Injectors
Running OBD1 P28 w/ Uberdata
Tomorrow I am putting in the Clutch Specialties Stage 3 clutch w/ Fidenza 8lb flywheel and a Walbro 255lph Fuel pump. Did I mention I have the Best girlfriend in the world? :-*
Hopefully we have a good weekend and this rain goes away so we can get some decent times.
Enjoy guys,
Jeff

What do you mean? I consider any custom turbokit that you make yourself in your garage homemade. I made this manifold, I made the charge pipes, I made the downpipe. Ecu was chipped by a buddy of mine, I tune my cars. Just because I bought some "high quality" off the shelf parts doesnt mean anything. It's not like I went out and spent a bunch of money on a full-race kit or even had paid someone to do this stuff.

Whoa whoa whoa guys ease up I didn't mean it in that way I just thougt everything looked nice as hell, usually the home made stuff you see out there is like a d series manifold with a trubo flange welded onto it and 4 different ic pipes off of factory turbo cars with a sidemount IC inside the engine bay...
I should have explained myself better when I said that. Everything looks awsome!!

girlfriends who get into cars with ya = priceless.
My wife is taking a welding course with me and I am taking a basic automotive class with her also. I am taking it with her because the teacher is kind of sexist so I am making sure he lets her get hands on experience instead of letting the woman stay on the sidelines and watch.

Very nice!! I have almost that same intercooler only that mines 6" and not 8".
How did you attached it to the Bumper suppoert? did you welded in custom brackets? I am wondering how im gonna mount mine, basically cause i have a 99ek and i want to keep the Stock fogs.
