Default is it a ggod idea to increase oil pressure when turboed? via hamp or rsx oil filter.

i got to thinking that adding a turbo will decrease the oil pressure now, so i thought maybe i could increase it via a rsx oil filter or hamp filter, what do you guys think?

seems like my oil pressure is crappy after some hard runs, this is at idle the oil light flickers a lil, never happened before the turbo install.

A turbo should not lower the oil pressure at all, at the worst very minimally. Do you have an oil pressure gauge? And how would a different filter increase pressure? It might flow more but it won't effect pressure at all. The only way a filter could hurt things is if it is clogged up, have you changed your filter at all since the turbo was put on?

ya its a new filter, a smaller oil filter like the hamp or rsx increases oil pressure.

smaller filter wont filter as well as a larger one, and plenty of people with a lot of hp are using oem filters. and by the way, the hamp is larger than stock for better filtering.

wheres your oil pressure sensor? if its at the end of the oil feed line, then thats why your getting low readings.
