Re: getting 3" exhaust to fit on a HB (Civ-JDM)
my friend just put in an Apexi Dunk on his dx hb a few weeks ago. i'm pretty positive its a 3" catback system and the tip is freakin HUGE. i can pretty much fit the whole front of my shoe in it and not touch the sides. he has enough clearance to make it up decent driveways, but would prob scrape on steeper inclines.

Re: getting 3" exhaust to fit on a HB (Pengo)
I have a 3" Thermal on my CRX and it fits nicely. Fitment is perfect. No scrapes, no rattles, nothing. And my car has Neuspeed Race springs (2.75" drop) and it still doesnt bottom out on anything. And the exhaust goes over the LCA, NOT under. It routes just like the stock exhaust. See the pics:

I have a thermal 3" exhaust on my 92 Civic hatchback. Just put it on. Follow the link read all about it along with some pics. My website is still under construction.

so you put on your 3 inch thermal before you got your turbo on? it's good to hear that you didn't realize any power loss.

yeah basicaly cause i really needed a new cat, and the cat was seized onto the piece of crap crush bent exhaust i had. So instead I just went ahead and got the exhaust and figure I would save some money in the long run. My freind with gs-r did the same thing, and he says he does not feel any power loss at all. This was of course after a tad bit of home tune.
