gettin sick of my 1/4 mile times!
at 6-7lbs... on street tires... i cannot hit lower than a 14.3 (based on 2 times ive been out at the track). slicks ive hit 13.8 for my best run. to me... spending $5000+ on this turbo setup just to hit 14s daily is really disappointing. i see people do this easy on basic boltons. maybe this LS motor aint that crackin. i see boosted GSRs doing 13s easy on the same amount of boost. blah blah blah... i know vtec is alot better and yada yada yada... but daym... ever since i turned up the boost to 6-7lbs, instead of 5lbs... i havent seen much of a difference in my 1/4 times. traction is an issue... but daym, its ridiculous because i see people with the same traction issues and they are havin no problem runnin lower times or beatin me in a street race. ARGGHHHH!
sorry to vent my frustration... but im thinkin about gettin out of the darkside.
EDIT:
for those of you who are interested on what set-up i have:
-DRAG 3 turbo kit
-ACT HD 6puck clutch
-manual boost controller
-2.5 exhuast
-only suspension mod i have are coilovers

remember gsr's are running higher compression so they will make more power at a lower boost.
can you post all of your information everthing about your car and all the stats from running at the track?

loose the weapon R filter and get one that actually allows air in. Also get a AVC-R or something similar and tune it on the dyno.

i would invest in a hondata and boost more.. but daym, i dont know if i really want to do that anymore. turning up the boost is just a one way solution.. there are more things i have to upgrade.. which is more $$$! its one thing.. if i wanted to one of the fastest competing imports out there... but when you just wanna have a simple quick car for the streets... it gets costly and not worth it.

If you want to see if you filter is good go to your local autoparts store (NAPA if you got em or I am sure Pepboys will have the equipment) and ask them to test your air filter...I know my Napa has little unit you put your air filter and and it will draw air and push up a ball, then you can put a K&N filter one (paper) and see the difference...just a suggestion

maybe drop the cat and go straight pipe.. my times are a bit similiar.. i'll pull a 99 if i'm messing around and sometimes 103 if i get everything all right.. my best time was 13.7 @ 102 on 8 psi i believe..

Re: gettin sick of my 1/4 mile times! (dlplayboy)
I would think those times are about right for a LS with a DRAG kit. You have the stock FMU so you're not tuned all that great (rich) so thats some HP there. 6-7 psi isn't all that much either. Is that 2.5" exhaust mandrel bent? I don't know if you have adjustable coilovers but a stiffened suspension will help launches also. I think a little bit of all those things would bring ET up so i'd start there. Oh yea and is your B18 in a teg? Thats alot more weight compared to a swapped civic.

get an avcr and put your car on the dyno.....easy 13's not only will you be able to help wheelspin, you will prevent lag, spool your turbo quicker, and maintain steady boost better. and putting your car on the dyno will easily give you a huge power increase. hondata is worth every penny if you got it.

Re: gettin sick of my 1/4 mile times! (Turbo-charged)
if you got a hondata, you could run right and push 10psi, no prob. I'm sure you'd be well into the 13s. that set-up cost you $5000? I think that might be what's depressing you...just get on a dyno, feel alot better for $200

here's a couple possible problems I noticed right away from looking at your setup. you're running a 8:1 rising rate fuel pressure fuel solution on stock injectors.

well am i the only one that noticed his reaction time "reaction: 1.001" i have been on this site long enough to notice that most peoples reaction time is half a second or just past. If you pratice that you should get low 14's if not high 13's. also your "modified" cat could cause turblence and their for hender performance. I say put a cat back in there or take it off all together.

I dunno what to tell you man. Seems like something is wrong. I have posted some great times with my setup thats untuned and on low boost (7psi). I will easily be in the 12's next visit at the track.
I think that you should pay attention to the fuel system.
