Garrett T3/t4 vs Precision SC 44 ~450WHP~
im currently getting my block built my mike at laskey racing (amazing work by the way) and im looking into the turbo upgrades.
i currently have a Garrett T3 / T4 57 trim with a .63 AR. Im interested in getting a Precision SC44, and my power goals are around 450whp.
my question is, should i just keep my garrett, or would it be worth / a need to get the SC44 instead?
my garrett currently has some black residue / stains on the compressor side which worries me, i dont know exactly what it means, so im not sure if i should upgrade to the sc44 and get rid of a potential upcoming problem with the garrett, or if its normal (which i doubt)
so all in all, my question is, is there a big difference in spool / full boost rpm / noticable difference between the 2 snails? any help is appreciated, thanks-
edit - if it helps in a decision, i can get a good deal on a new sc44, around 500

No. there is not a big difference between the two in terms of getting 450whp.
SC44 = T3/T04E 60 trim with 74.73" exducer
SC34 = T3/T04E 57 trim with 75.73" exducer
Difference is the bearing system 270 degree vs 360 degree spring.
Yes, the new deal on SC44s are $599
