You need a 2.5" ID T3 housing for the GT28 series turbos. Both .63ar and .82ar can work fine, as long as they're setup for external wastegate. They just have different a/r's, and therefore different spool characteristics. The .63ar T3 is more than enough flow for the GT28RS. It is equivelent to the larger .86ar T25 housing option the GT28RS normally is offered with from Garrett. http://www.ATPturbo.com has the housings, they should be somewhere around $249, they can answer all your questions as well.

I personnaly have the .82ar and its not laggy and have a pretty good top-end. Im sure that with the .63ar I would get more torque in the midrange but loose on the top-end.... A good day I would like to compare both housing back to back to get the real deal...

Jeff Evans suggested the .82ar, I bought the turbo from him but like I said I would like to test the .82ar vs the .63ar...

Honestly we listen to everyone but it always depend on many important factors....

Agreed. I really enjoyed myr 28rs .82, makes great power for a street car, but won't do much over ~350ish on pump.
