Default Garrett 14b waste gate actuator

hey guys im about half way though puttin a garrett 14b turbo on my 95 civic ex. im not sure if the waste gate actuator is working right though no matter what i do i cant get the shaft to move in or out is that normal? or is it broken. or better yet is there some way to test it?

any help would be great

it's spring loaded. so it won't move in and out freely. you need to apply pressure to be able to move it. if it does move in and out freely, then it's most likely broke.

either way its broke, if the rod cant be push in or out at all then its garbage,and if it moves in and out too easily then again its garbage.
if its working properly it should be hard to push it in and out but should move
or just mount it on the car and i can tell you how to test it while its mounted.

hook it up to some shop air, it should open at like 7psi or so

dont forget it pulls away from the housing not into it, Not to say that you didnt know that I just didnt see that said anywhere howmany vaccume ports does that one have on the housing??

yeah... it pulls out, its really hard... i just put my kit on yesterday and i couldnt move it without really pulling on it... the actuator sprint is 11-12 psi
