B18C-Hatch

i heard that the garret t3/60-1 will choke my B18C (stock bore) becasue the exhasut wheel is too small, i was told i should go with the turbonetics T3/60-1 instead and get the stage 5 wheel, is this true?

the garrett is much cheaper, and the turbonetics offer more aggressive wheels to make more power.

the 60-1 in .63 a/r has put down well over 400whp in a type R on this forum
the 60-1 in .82 a/r has put down just over 500whp on a b16 on this forum

I went .82, because unlike everyone else I love turbo lag. There isn't anything I hate more than a turbo that spools up like OEM. I love the insane surge of power all at once, breaking the tires loose nad leaving my opponent well behind mauahhahahaha <evil grin>

garrett offers a stg3 exhaust wheel.
turbonetics uses garrett centersections with thier own housings and a stg5 exhaust wheel.

how can u tell between the stage 3 and stage 5 by just looking at a turbo?

.63 A/R = stage 3
.82 A/R = stage 5

No. The wheel is not dependent on the a/r of the turbine housing. The only true way is to take the housing off and measure.

so if i am planing on 500hp (.82) the two are about the same. so i should just go with the garret becasue its cheaper
