No. Only Turbonetics use Spearco cores. These are more than likely a Mishimoto private label. You want the Good stuff like Garrett, Bell, or Spearco, be prepared to spend a few bucks.

Most in the Honda world here cheapen out on the intercoolers, because they are generally running lower power, but still want to show off as though they have a baleen whale inside the car.

A question SHODAN.

If the Spearco core rated at 320 CFM is 3.50 x 6.80" x 11.75
and the Edelbrock unit is XXX CFM is 2.50 x 6.00" x 22.00 .
The Turbonetic unit is 3.0 x 6.40" x 24.00. They rate that one at 475 HP

Heres my question...is the edelbrock that inefficient that is would drop almost 175hp over a .5" of thickness? Reason I am asking is that I am running a 2860rs. .72ar with the wastegate housing from garrett that runs the MVR 44 at the housing. My setup is for my DD, only looking for 300whp. I try and purchase the best stuff I can with the limited funding at my disposal. Like AshJ Williams said...a spearco intercooler for 220 bucks for my application would be a great buy. As you can see from my pics, my cars a sleeper...trailer hitch and all.

CFM airflow efficiency is not always directly related with overall size dimensions of the intercooler. One has to look at the size and type of fin design as well as the size of the core. 320CFM is about 33lbs/min, which is about 260whp or so after doing all the math.

The one that is listed is based upon their D-series OEM turbo kit, in which they did not expect the engine internals to be upgraded. Which from what I remember a long time ago was really only about 300hp at the crank rated. You never want to choose an intercooler that "fits" just for one particular horsepower level, because you actually will be running at it its maximum exchange rate even when you're only expecting 300whp. The Spearco core may be at a bargain, but should be for those using a stock engine for under 240-260whp.

If you want 300whp I advise something else.
