futuresi = future boost junkie, What should I do
I will be picking up my extra B16 block this weekend and want to get a good head start on my research on how to build it and what to use.
My goal is to be able to push 15psi (at the track) 8psi or so daily driven.
I was thinking of going with the DRAG III Kit since they do have a special one for "hybrids" and upgrade the wastegate to a Tial. First things first...what internals should I go for?
This was what I was thinking:
-JE 9:1 c/r pistons
-Eagle Rods
-Stock Crank from current motor
-Sleeve the Block (dont know any companys)
Also I've heard about the Crower stroker kit that puts it out to a 1.9ish liter.
Anyways fill me in on whats good or not....

you dont have to resleeve if you are only going to run 15psi, that is such a waste of money!!! save it for something usefull..(hondata) piston and rods, you will be ok with what you have chosen..

Don't worry about sleeving your block if thats all the boost you want to run. Put that money towards a good standalone unit. Pistons and rods are questionable too but are nice to have. I would just put in ARP rod bolts on your stock rods and have them shotpeened. You have a decent foundation to work with just get a decent ecu and tune the pants outta it. Tuning is key. Good luck and keep us informed.

I would sleeve it in case you want to try and get every ounce of power outta the b16 as possible. Also, correct me if I am wrong guys but if he wants to make a cheap stroker kit all he needs is a b17 crank. Puts you around 1/8l.

I hear that b17 cranks are hard to find and very expensive. The reason I metioned the Crower kit is that it pushes it to a 1.9 and it comes with a steal crank.

you dont need to sleeve...........put the money towards a good tuner.
so many ppl are achieving above average goals on mostly STOCK parts.
its all in the TUNING.
take a look at importreview.com.

I would at least get what you orignally said minus the sleeves...that is unless you think you will want more power....then sleeve it....also dont get fpr/afc and just get a piggyback or standalone. Hondata is good.
EDIT: although now that you have the block outof the car would be the best time to do it.

If you only want to push 8 daily, and 15 at the track you definitly don't need sleeves.
I would like to push 15 psi daily someday, and that will be the day I get sleeves.

Thanks for the replys, I might get it sleeved if I can get a good deal on it, if not I will slap a blockgaurd in there to be safe. What are the limits on the t3/t4 drag turbo?

I believe you can get up to around 325hp without doing:
valvetrain work
changing manifold and TB
changing oil pump gear
changing ignition
Although it would be easier to achieve 325 by changing the TB, manifold and headwork its not necessary. you can pretty much get to 350 stock whp with these items stock. Needless to say you would still need to do what I mentioned in my other reply..pistons rods standalone etc

Does the 2b like you have come programed to fit your needs? Or did you get it tuned with someone who had the stuff to do it? and do you have pic so I could see you setup
Also where would be a good place online to check out turbo manifolds that fix the tial wastegate?

No the 2b comes with a rewritable chip that goes into your ECU. theres wires from the chip that goes to the Hondata module. the module plugs into a laptop where the tuning takes place. You must have a hondata 4b to do the tuning/writing or else you have to depend on someone who has a 4b.
Here is an older pix. Ive changed some things but basically looks this way.

But we are talking about ina b16. I have seen this and have had it confirmed a couple times that it would put you to aout 1.8l.

That's all a B17 is, a B16 with a different crank.
