Full Race ProAm Top Mount or ProStreet Turbo Manifold Decisions??? Inputs Needed..
Alright Guys I'm deciding on the Full-Race turbo Manifolds for my Semi-Built B18C1
Currently running a Prostreet Mani. on my EG.
Is there BIG Differences from changing manifolds from Prostreet (ram-horn) to ProAm (top mount)???
What would you guys recommend for Daily Street Driving and weekend drags?
Info. or a Manifold dyno comparision on Low Boost would be a good comparison.
Low Boost: 14lbs.
High Boost: 20lbs.
Hp Goals: 400-500 (on high boost) w/GT35R.
Thanks.

The pro street manifold should suit you well. I wouldnt exactly recomend a top mount for daily driving especially if your using the 4" downpipe. The top mount is alittle overkill for your goals. Unless you wana go for the "BLING" factor with the top mount.

Its not the Bling! Just Power Comparison.

As far as I know noone has actually done a Prostreet mani then took it off and put a Top Mount on, a Top mount is good for easy access to turbo and if you want to swap it out and also being able to run a BIG 4" downpipe also

Thats a downside to the topmount.
Sacraficing PS and filter....Not a good choice for a Daily driver.

Both manfifolds you have to run Half size rads also, the Full Race top mount comes with a Tial 44mm WG flange only also. Neither can run AC unless you get a ProStreet AC compatible mani.

Also FYI teh Full Race top mount is named the Pro Am manifold which is based off teh IDRC class PRO AM so IMO it was basically built for racers in this class where every ounce of power can be extracted ie.. the 4" downpipe. I am sure Geoff from Full Race will chime in here some time soon and can shed some light and correct any misinfo I am given if I have Initially this manifold was built for Geoff's car then later one was built for Jason Hunt's coupe and after everyone saw the manifold at I believe the E Town event , everyone wanted one! Great manis both of them!

Yeah, you can easily run a filter with the top mounts. I really don't see any downside to running a top mount over the pro street. Does anyone?

I know FR now offers 3" downpipes for the top mount now, so is there any other downside to it? I'm really intrested in this myself. I have a B16b that I'm gonna turbo this spring and I prefer the top mount design, and since the car isn't daily driven...I'm down to run the FR top mount with the 3" downpipe.

No downside at all! You have that choice of a 3" or a 4" downpipe, who could ask for anything more? Also if interested in Full Race products, contact me on the very best pricing available guaranteed!
