Full-Race bushing style GT40 variant...?
Has anyone installed one of these suckers yet? Thinking of utilizing one of them on my SFWD Civic for '06.
Any dyno plots? I think this turbo is a great size and combination of "affordable" parts for the SFWD purpose built cars.
Any inputs appreciated!

Re: Full-Race bushing style GT40 variant...? (HybridKOOP)
the gt4088 bushing turbo uses a *6 blade* compressor wheel, 88mm exducer. the gt4088R is a *7 blade* compressor wheel, 88mm exducer.
this turbo will not make as much power as the gt40R however it will still be capable of excellent power levels, with very efficient performance. power up to ~730whp with low IATs and very low backpressure is easy to attain

How would it compare with a GT35R for a given boost level of say... 30 psi?
A bit more output with slightly less efficient spool?

i would agree with that, and to further that, you have a turbo (and of course turbine wheel) that can be machined to accept a bigger compressor wheel, and can properly drive it, that is if you are looking for really big power...
the gt35R turbine wheel is maxxed out at tihs power level, while the gt40R is just starting to work hard.
