Default Fuel Tank Cover Fittings and Lines...

Yes ive done a search and this is pretty much last on my list. here is a pic of dustins set up... (dustin, i hope you dont mind me using your picture...)

I will be running -8an feed and -6an return. Can you tell me if these part #'s are right to run this?

-8AN FEED
-8an 90degree bulkhead adapter part #983308
summit shows part 983303 for this (i guess its an error on the website...):

the part should look like:

-8an bulkhead nut, part #?????

-8an straight swivel seal hose send, part # 800108

-6an return :
-6an 90degree bulkhead adapter part #983306
summit shows part 983303 for this (i guess its an error on the website...):

the part should look like:

-6an bulkhead nut, part #592406

-6an straight swivel seal hose end, part #800106

Also, is this correct?

for fuel return it goes from FPR outlet to the Fuel return fitting at the tank?
for fuel feed it goes from tank to the filter? im kind of confused here guys...

thanks for all of your help.

Actually you have the wrong part for your 8an feed. Us guys that used 6an feed would use the 849091 fitting (TOP LEFTHAND IN PIC), or 12mm x 1.25 fitting for Dellorto, Solex, and Mikuni
carburators. BUT there isnt an 8an hose end for the threaded fitting on the tank lid.
So I guess you will need to use the 8an bulkhead after all and just use rubber fuel line clamped to the longer side of the fitting and then goto the pump that way.
Here is a pic of the needed parts for my setup (and dustins).

Oh yeah. DONT FORGET TO USE THE STRATOSEAL GROMMETS FOR THE CONNECTIONS AT THE TANK!!!!!!

edit* the pic of the bulkhead is the correct one. if you look closely dustins (and me) cut off the end to allow for clearance under the tank cover.

you know, i thought i had to get the 12mm x 1.25 -8an fitting but summitracing didnt have a pic of it so i assumed it was a wrong part #. you know, for some strange reason i had a feeling you would be the one to answer my question, thanks a lot! Now on the threaded fitting on the lid of the tank, should i just retap the hole and make it a -8an? do you have the stratoseal grommet part #'s? Thanks.

That threaded fitting on the lid is 12mmx1.25............the -8AN is where the line connects on the other end of that 90 degree fitting. You can't re-tap it to -8AN. Does Earl make a -8AN to 12mmx1.25 90 degree fitting???? That is what you will need.
Plus, that bulkhead fitting is going to be for your return line which is -6AN right??
You cut that first section of threading off to make it fit on the bracket once you drill/Dremel out the hard line.

Check [URL=http://www.anplumbing.com/shop/anplumbing.com[/url] because they carry all of the different brands of AN fittings. Here is where I found the -6 to 12mm x 1.25 Del Orto Carb adapter fittings for my fuel rail and filter. I did a quick scan and didn't find any -8AN to 12mmx1.25 fittings.

nobody makes a 12mm x 1.25mm for a -8an fitting what i had to do is re-tap it to a 12mm x 1.5mm and it work just fine.

ok you guys cleared up everything for me now.... when i was saying retap it i thought i had to cut a larger hole in the fuel tank lid I might look into retapping the hole from a 1.25 to a 1.5, thanks for the suggestion. Did the conversion go easy for you? got any before and after pics?

Yes I felt the conversion was easy. Time consuming, but easy--hell I even enjoyed doing it. Ever try installing hose ends without a vise---what a bitch, if you dont have one buy one.
Anyway i have the before and afters'. Kind of a step by step, you'll get the idea. Although it may be tougher since your doing the -8 feed.

Damn, thats a pretty monstrous fuel setup. What about a prefilter to go before that expensive fuel pump??
