Default Fuel tank braided line?

From the beginning, I knew it my car has the feed line hacked and fixed with rubber fuel line. A few days ago the line blow it. Now I'm making braided from tank to filter -6an

I have all the fittings and lines inclusive a new AEM 50-100 320lph.

My question is, Anybody has put the 5/16 to -6an fitting in the pump hanger? I'm thinking on cut it to make it a little short and put the fitting.

Just remove the plastic lock and keep the barb for sealing purposes. I have done this a few times actually. If you need to, cut down the pipe some but before the barb. Make sure you use 2 or 3 hose clamps in alternating directions though.

It has been a while, but I do believe they also sell adapters to go to NPT and Barb from that quick connect fitting to do it the right way. OR you could always use a bulkhead fitting or even weld a fitting. Many, many possibilities.

they sell adapters to fit those style fittings, OEM quick release on one side, 6an on the other. no point in cutting it down really, unless there's little room. Although you could gently bend that tube slightly to make room without kinking, crushing, or cracking the pipe

like this

why make things more complicated?
