Default fuel probs with h22/turbo(very intresting so read it)

ok for some reason my boosted h22 is running super lean. my fuel setup consists of airtex inline pump, vortech fmu (12:1) dsm 450cc injectors, B&M fpr and a v-afc. we first tried to run the hack with just the injectors and afc, but was running lean still, put it on the dyno and my af ratio was like 14.1 or sumthin like that. so installed the fmu, airtex, fpr and set the afc to factory settings and still runs lean. what can i do to at least get it to run rich in boost? im only running 7psi. how am i running lean still? the rev;s fluxuate and the car bogs. im sure with this setup there is more than enough fuel going to the motor. any ideas????

Is your car throwing any codes? Does your FP stay constant under boost?

throwing code 43 now. fuel pressure is not constant under boost.

I bet it would be the Fuel pressure regulator and the injectors.run stock injectors with an fmu and an inline. Or Afc and a intake with 450's

hmmm fmu and 450cc injectors... 12:1 too... wow that theoretically should be dumping a lot of fuel. try running the disc with stock injectors. might be a prob with the dsm's taking the super high fuel pressures.

well i had the dsm's cleaned and flow tested and all was good. i checked the spark plugs today and there black as night so its running rich, what i dont get is why the shitty autometer says its running lean and wot. but at half throttle it says its running rich. im going to put in a walbro later and take out the fmu and try the hack again wit the dsm's to see what happens.

You really need to wideband for a/f ratio. dont trust just the a/f light alone.

I have had the same problem with my autometer and the richer i ran the leaner it would look on the guage. I think when you run super rich you end up killing your O2 sensor and the guage reads messed up. I ran blue box and stock injectors on my 93 Si greddy and it seemed lean so i added 330cc injectors car ran like crap and the guage would read really lean once the engine was hot. i was still scared so i add a fmu and no fifference other then the car running like ***. I finally went back to blue box and stock injectors and it runs fine even though my guage reads lean. I'll try a new o2 to see if that fixes it. since then i added a shogun and did -4% fuel from like 2500 up. the car runs great and i have driven on it for over a year. it just pulled 188whp 167 wtq at 8psi stock bottom end d16z6

im gonna take out the fmu today and just run the dsm's with the hack until the pump comes then put that in and hope it works, if not then ima just give up cuz cars going to my little brother for his 16th birthday anyway so he can deal with it.
