Default Fuel cell and single Bosch 044?

I've run into some fueling issues and have to get rid of my stock lines/walbro pump.

I'm looking into the FCS 9 gal. fuel cell because it's already sumped with -AN fittings and saves almost 30 lbs over the stock tank. The FCS fuel cell has two lines coming off the bottom, and I'm not sure if I need them both.

My car will only be making at most 400hp this go around, so dual 044's / 8 -AN lines are obviously way overkill. Will one inline 044 with no other pump be sufficient? I like the idea of being able to add a second in the future when I decide to ball out, just not sure if I need both right now.

you don't need to run both lines off the fuel cell you can run one and cap off the other one

Or you can get one from turbo elements and he will make it custom to your order. This is one I ordered with two -10 outlets -6 return and -8 vent. I wanted a second -10 on the sump so I could empty my tank of ethanol and run gasoline through the system to pickle it and save the injectors

Oh I like that. (and the price, too!)

Will one 044 with no other pump be ok for 400 hp? I just got back from the dyno and wasted alot of time because I was running out of pump/lines and I do NOT want to go through that again. Big waste of money/time.

Yes the Bosch 044 is a stout pump and can handle high pressures. I would run a -6 feed and return or use stock feed as return. Also run 10awg wire to the pump and you'll have plenty of pump even with ethanol you can go north of 400 no problem.

What fuel and Injectors are you running ?

880's with 110. I know a Walbro 255/stock lines should do everything I want, but that's what I have and it isn't. I figured I'd just save some weight and get rid of the whole stock feed system to be 100% sure before I waste more dyno time.

The other thing I was wondering about, I know it's insanely overkill, but if I did use dual 044's, would that be too much fuel for, say, an AEM regulator to handle at such low consumption rates as 400hp?

If your running an AEM regulator throw it in the garbage and use a stock one haha or buy a good regulator. Also what fuel filter are you running?

Well, while on the dyno I bypassed the factory filter I was running altogether and ran hose from the firewall directly to the rail. Still lost pressure.

I am using a stock regulator, but my tuner suggested if I'm going to go overkill on the fuel setup I may want to get a FPR in case my fuel pressure is too much and isn't linear anymore. (or something like that... lol)

I don't mind using a stock FPR (a brand new one from honda is like $85), I just want the adjustability if needed. If going with an aftermarket one, what would you suggest that will bolt onto a factory/AEM rail and be durable? Aeromotive?

Aero motive makes a unit that will fit in factory location and automotive are good. But since you going to redo it all I would recommend a fuel lab or magnafurl or turbo smart fpr. Can also go Weldon or kinsler but bigger money. Also automotive makes nice units that aren't rail mount. There are a lot of options. I personally run a magnafuel mp-9950-b-blk. Works great

You'll also need a 60-100 micron per filter and 5-10 micron filter post pump.

I'm also running a sumped fuel tank with a single Bosch 044, with 8an feed lines w/ pte 1000's, I think I'm loosing pressure as well, so I'm adding a 044 and upgrading the return

What regulator? So many people lately losing fuel pressure when shouldn't be. We ran a standard walbro 255 stock lines stock wiring stock filter id1000's e85 and made 450hp

Stock fpr, I'm currently looking for a nice deal on a new aero motive fpr. I'm gonna upgrade the return with 6an lines, as sometimes some fuel vapor would pour out lol

Be sure tank vent check valve isn't clogged and def replace that regulator. Stocks will work but over time they fail

That's what was so frustrating about it. Stock lines/FPR/walbro 255, yadda yadda is fine.

But my fuel presure dipped down to like 34-35 psi at anything over 17-18 psi of boost pressure. I think the pump is just going bad (been in the car for like 7 years), but I don't wanna spend time/money diagnosing it. I'm gonna redo the whole thing with an over-kill setup and be good to go when I upgrade the engine down the road. (If this damn thing will ever die!)
