Found some dyno time last friday. Thanks Servion!!!
Well at the begining of this week, it kinda looked like we wern't going to be able to fit in any dyno time before the race today, but thankfully we were able to get about 4 hours in on friday. I'd like to thank Jeromy a lot for the ability to be able to tune my car when he could have been scrambling to fix his SPFWD car.
We ended up doing 28 pulls, and ended up with a nice power band on 91 octane. One thing that is interesting to me though, is the torque curve. I don't know if it was the ramp rate or what, but to me 210ft/lbs is impressive for a B16 with the HP is was putting out.
However, the race today could have gone a little better. My ignitor went out on me right before we went to tune on Friday, so I swaped in a spare I had. The car ran great but for some reason my tach now wasn't working. I had to keep running the car to the revlimiter to know when to shift, and with just the 4 year old azenis tires the car was just spinning all the way down the track.
I ended up running a 14.00 @ 109mph. damn tires...hehe I'll be back with some slicks, a race gas tune, and hopefully an 11 second time slip.
The graph doesn't show it, but it was basically a straight 11 AFR and on 13lbs of boost.

See, wtf. Why do I make decent torque on my b16 but not power.
I made 224ft/lbs, but only 298 wheel.
Anywho, enough ranting, nice numbers

It's awsome! I just wish I could tell what RPM I'm at...

Well considering I was spinning for most of the time down the track, I would have to say that I was only accelerating for probubly the last half.
I know I would pick up more MPH if I was able to hook up a little better.

look like you hit your 300 hp goal
i also agree with the guy above me, looks very laggy, but that could possibly be due to the itty bitty b16
goodluck with the car, its a very nice ride

Nope, no boost leaks. It is due to the itty bitty B16... B16's are just peaky in general. Also the dyno dynamics dyno is a load based dyno and has an adjustable ramp rate. This will effect when the car hits boost, and also effects the overall power output. Servion chose to use a certain ramp rate, and I trust him.

But still, for instance, at 5000 rpm, Im making ~170whp with my sc34 b16. And you're only making ~104. Thats a big difference IMO.
Anyways, Ill get off your case.

Well, I'm using a much larger turbo than the 34, and I'm at 5600ft. It's not that bad imo.
Whats your setup? How much boost, what AR turbine, and any graphs?

very good to see those nice #'s with a very good tune Bryson.
though i wish i can have A/C with your top mount mani. it's really a very clean and well planned setup specially on crampy EF engine bays.

Re: (weiRtech)
good numbers considering how low those dyno's read. which turbo is this again? sc61?
just ask, as i made 351 on a dyno dynamics on 14psi this past weekend with a 84mm b16 deckplate.

I'm not sure on how much boost for race gas. I'd like to get close to 400whp, and will use as much boost as it takes.

Because this is a stock block with a lot of power we figured that 11:1 was probubly best. The compression with my GSR head is around 10.8:1, so the cooler the chamber the better.

Thanks man. Yeah it's a SC61. I'm going to try and do a baseline on a dynojet here soon just to see how the numbers compare.

Thats exactly what I was predicting. I just need to get some damn bfgs so I can actually hook up.
