My block (b18c) got forged pistons and plugged oil squirters. I'm in the process of assembling the the block now.

Should I install the baffle plate located right above the oil pan at the bottom of the block? Will it somehow make any difference in terms of piston lubrication?

that is a windage tray. to keep oil off of the crank and in the pan. use it.

if you have piston and rods a lot of times people block off the squirters to up the oil pressure and lubricate the more important parts. keep the windage tray.

The squirters arent much of a necessity, but the windage tray is. USE THAT.
