Fmax--Need to cut the radiator fan shroud
yet another problem...not a bad one though.
You will have to cut the fan shroud in order for the fan to go back in and fit around the compressor. It is essential to remove the fan (if not the whole radiator to eliminate other headaches--i left mine in) in order to get the manifold/turbo/compressor combination onto the engine block. then to get the fan back in just cut some of teh plastic off the shroud to get it to fit.
I was hoping not to have to do that but it had to be done. Another thing to let Fmax know about.

thanks for letting me know. I feel better knowing I'm not the only one chopping up my car for a "direct bolt on"!

either cut out the piece that u need or i would suggest to just get a slimmer fan from almost any parts store and just use that

Damn.
Look at that thick *** piping. Ours isn't nearly that thick.
I only had to cut a little bit. Perhaps 6x4 in.
I'll post pics later tonight.

They have to be 'pull' fans. You want to pull ambient outside air through the radiator
