Fidanza is good and so is Comptech. I'm still learning about the "right way" to turbo a Honda so I'm not sure if a 7 lb flywheel will be good for FI. Anyone a little more experienced care to lend an opinion.

I have a clutchmaster 7.5lb flywheel and clutchnet stage II cluth. Love them both, not too difficult to drive and holds power!!

no need to go with the more expensive cromoly flywheels!!!!
also fidanza makes the clutchmasters 8lb flywheel so which ever u find cheapest. i got mine for $295 shipped from lighnting motorsports.com i was so happy wit their services i ordered one for my friends lsvtec. any aftermarket clutch will hold up to 300hp and ur not gonna make that with 10 psi..so buy wat u like.
alos dont worry about these STUPID rumors that the car is harder to drive/launch, and that they will break. aluminum doesnt shatter it bends under extreme temps..but ive yet to hear any bad things about lightwieght flywheels breaking..
i dont mean to be crude with my opinion..but i would have to say that a lightwieght flywheel has been my favorite mod that i have done to my car!
also they help any motor to spool up quicker even turbos cars..

Yea, Fidanza and CM are the same. I got the 7.5lb CM flywheel. I didn't notice a difference in drivability. The CM flywheel can be used as a frisbee (that's how light it is compared to the stock flywheel.)

If you do plan on running that light of an aluminum fw i'd definately get a scatter shield. Better safe than sorry. Cant go wrong with the strength of chromoly.

isnt it better to use stock flywheel for fi?
Chromoly is not worth what you pay for it. I'd rather use a stock fly before I used chromoly.
There are many people using Al flys on this board. I agree with the earlier post that said it was the best thing they had done to their car.
I have the UR fly and love it.

I heard that stock is heavy yes, but it allows your to take a little more time shifting, whereas a lightweight you have to really shift alot faster or it won't hold the revs up, in other words the revs die as quick as they raise with a lighter flywheel....

We all know that a lighter flywheel gives quicker spool up, but..
Can the momentum of a heavier flywheel be effective for 'after full-boost' power??

well that would be a problem if you had to go from 1st gear to 4th because your 2nd and 3rd gear are totally wasted... honestly if you figure how fast you shift...1/2 sec maybe a second.. try counting how fast you shift no one makes a 2nd to 3rd gear shift last as long as 5secs...I have being driving around with no second gear and the car acclerates no problems..1-3gear shifts are not cool if someone wants to race you =P...I have the CM 7.5lbs flywheel on my b18b/gsr tranny and it makes a world of difference
