Default FJT custom rods, Vitara pistons questions....

I got some FJT custom length H beam rods along with YCP Vitara pistons. The rod strikes the underside of the piston when moved side to side once mounted on the pin. I am able to force it to move, but its still obviously a concern. Should I use a grinder to flatten the bottom underside of the piston some? Has anyone else ran into this problem using this combo?
