First timeslips, what do you think (b18c1 13 psi dc2)
So tonight was my first time running at the track an any car, the car is a 94 rs, with a b18c1 @ 13 psi, 300 whp on a mustang dyno, probably about 330 dynojet horsepower.
My best ET of the night was 12.850 at 114.66 mph. The 60 foot was 2.208 (azenis).
I had better trap speeds, and better 60 foots, just couldnt put them together on a run... what do you think?

Re: First timeslips, what do you think (BigBlock)
It weighs about 2420 (no spare tire, back seat, or back panels)... It has power steering, but no A/C...just a pump gas daily driver. I pretty much finished off the azenis so I'm gonna get some new street tires, and get a set of slicks also. I still need to get a new wastegate spring so I can go to 16 psi. I think next weekend I'm gonna try it with some 14" honda wheels and the tires at like 15 psi or something.

Yeah, I'd like to see a 2.0 or less 60 foot with slicks, once I get it biting at 13 psi, I'll turn it up to 16 psi and put some more timing in it...(I'd like to bump it about 40 horses)

nice run! What strategy did you go with for your launch? handbrake? dropped the clutch or feather and play with the throttle?

No strategy really, I was really nervous with this being my first time at the track. I just staged and then let the car sit there on it's own...then I revved between 2 and 3 k...up and down, up and down... until the 3rd light and then just dumped it at like 3 k. After that I just tried to control the wheel spin/hop.
I'd really like to be farther into the 12's...hopefully this weekend I will be with some slicks. After I hook this up, I'm gonna up the boost to 16 psi (hopefully up the power to 360 ish) and go for 11's...

great numbers. You said that you were going to increase boost to 16 psi, your block is built right?
I also have a turbo b18c1 but only boosting 6-7 psi. When i launch at 3K on the streets its fine. Thats why on june 3rd wheni head out to famoso raceways im thinking of launchihng at 4K. Maybe that would help your timeslips?
Well, congratulations on your set up

stock sleeves, stock girdle, nuformz guard, cp .030 over pistons, eagle rods...
I can't launch at all on the street, I use an EBC and have a button on my shifter to switch between high and low boost. I use low boost on the street in 1st and 2nd... at the track I launched on low boost (8psi) then switched to high boost in 2nd gear.

Re: (kaoss_11)
thanks....I borrowed a set of 22x8x13 slicks for this weekend, so we'll see how that goes. I hope I don't lose much MPH going down almost 2.8" in tire height with them from my 205 55 16 azenis... we'll see.

Re: (SwampHatch)
wow not bad i guess. makes me feel better about my setup then. 10psi on a 9:1 b18c1 i went 13.7 @ 107mph full interior ex civic coupe and the car was running like doodoo and on a 2.4" exhaust.

Lower 12's would be easily attainable with your trap speeds on slicks.
My LS weighs about the same as your car, and @ 8 psi I was able to make 12.81 @ 107 on M/T Slicks.

Re: First timeslips, what do you think (94lsboost)
I think that is a good time considering....it's really hard to put the power down.
I made 320whp and best I ever did was 13.4@117mph.

Re: First timeslips, what do you think (cinq)
Wow, that makes me feel better. I wasn't too sure about the times until I got home and saw that most people w/similar power/weight/setups were running about the same or worse, and I was happy with my times. Still itching for times w/slicks...

Re: First timeslips, what do you think (cmGSR916)
Thats good times man My car weighs about the same and makes 322 whp on 12psi, i started out running 12.5's @115 and have now gotten in down to 12.0's @116. Im also running this saturday and ill be running 18psi so im shooting for some 11.7's @120+mph. Good luck on the slicks and you will be in the 11's before you know it when you up the boost.
