First time at the track, 11.5 @ 131mph with my EK4 B16A
I'll have to get some good tyres (I was using some borrowed M/T 22/8/15) and hopefully I will get into the 10's. Not bad for a stock block B16A. 100% street car of course.
May be ST00PID or some one can give me an idea as to what tyres I should run. I was hitting the rev limit (10000) in fourth near the line. I want to try and fit them under EK guards (fenders?) without cutting anything if possible.

Re: First time at the track, 11.5 @ 131mph with my EK4 B16A (Arturbo)
Pics- Hopefully soon.
Setup-
Stock block B16A
ITR head slightly ported by me.
ITR intake manifold
OS Giken pistons (Flat top)
OS Giken rods
Top Fuel head studs (Probably ARP)
IHI RX6 TCW77 P22 (@1.7 bar)
Tial 46mm WG
Motec M4 PRO
Blitz 1000cc injectors
Bosch 044 motorsport fuel pump (in tank with stock fuel lines)
Sard fuel pressure reg (racing type)
TODA valve springs, cam gears, etc.
SPOON lsd
OS Giken twin plate clutch
Top Fuel 80mm exhaust.
All fabrication, engine building, etc. done by HYPERTUNE.
Time slips- In the glovebox I think.
Weight? I don't know. Its a EK4 hatch with no back seat and the sound deadening taken out from under the carpet. It still has the factory sun roof at the moment.
I ran it on c16 at 1.7 bar, BTW.

I haven't put it on a Dyno Jet yet, but on a (Australian made) Dyno Dynamics dyno it put out 315 kw @ wheels. These are known to read quite a bit lower than a Dyno Jet, so I will have to run it up to give you comparative figures.
My first run was a 12.5 @ 126 MPH
I only got 5 runs in and it's the first time I have ever driven before, so I'm sure there is big room for improvement there. I think my 60 ft was varying from 2.1-1.9. With lots of wheelspin in first & second.

You've sure got a lot of thumbs Mark. hehe
Nice set-up Hypertune. Nice runs. Any chance you have any video of your car?
Anyone know what his turbo is comprable to, in size? (im curious)

Re: First time at the track, 11.5 @ 131mph with my EK4 B16A (D-Man)
Definately good time there bro, I run a 95 GSX and hopefully by next summer I will be in the 11's, as that's been my goal and I can already see it closing in fast. The kool thing is I won't have even touched the internals at that point.
Nice *stock* block there
All other things aside thats a damn nice run, my redneck hometown would be scratching their heads at you

nice.
you need some 25x8x13's. in my opinion. for 131 mph, you'll hit 10's with around 2300 lbs. run the 25's w/ about 8.5 psi. lower them a little until you find the best 60 ft. you should be able to fit those on your ek. if not, you can get a 24.5x9x13. they'll hook up almost as well.
you'd have to cut your fenders for 26's and its a dice roll as to whether you'll need them. although, if you dyno around 450 or more, you might. good luck.
I LOVE THOSE STOCK BLOCKS!!!!!!

Here's the Top Fuel 80mm exhaust system. Hypertune did yours choke down to 60mm at the cat connection (this is done to make it emissions legal). I have already made plans to upgrade the smaller 60mm section to 80mm and I will using using a stepped 60~70~76mm downpipe with a 76mm SKyline GTS-T test pipe. The price for the cat back is 64800jpy.

Re: First time at the track, 11.5 @ 131mph with my EK4 B16A (drealgsr)
The Top Fuel exhaust is really nice. It's pretty loud, so I made up a silencer for it to use on the street. (Like HKS makes for the hipers) it restricts it to 2" but the car still hauls on the street, smokes 3rd gear at 120 kph no worries.
I cut the 60-80mm adapter out, and put a 3" flange on the 80mm pipe. My down pipe is 3" so it works no problems.
A few people had the cameras out, to I will try to track down some videos.
