Default first experience turbo honda

just got in a ride in a turbo integra. yeah, it pulls but the spool and wastegate and blowoff valve were all too loud.

is there a way to make the turbo as quiet as possible? maybe even make it seem like its not a turbo below 3k rpm?

I was eventually going to go this route, after I kill enough brain cells from the open dp fumes. I was thinking adding a resonator and a es oval type muffler.

Easy, full exhuast, internal wastegate.

My last setup was quieter than a stock Civic when out of boost. When I got into boost it didn't even get that loud, I was running a Tanabe 2.5" exhaust. The only thing that was loud was my RFL blow off valve.

I don't know how people drive around with open downpipe.

I drove open dowpipe for 10 minutes around the block once, I was embarassed by how loud it was. I knew everyone around me thought I was a total fart-can ricer.

I went directly home and hooked my exhaust back up.

Ya I don't like to "fit the image" of the ricer that everyone expects me to be.

internal wastegate, smaller downpipe, gated into downpipe, smaller exhaust is all going to rob your overall performance

you have to think like this eventually you will have ot have the setup with loud exhaust, huge downpipe, externally gated ect because power modifications are going to start becoming useless

Yeah i underestimated the noise level. Don't listen to people who say noise and fumes aren't that bad with open dp.
