Re: finished my DIY-WB (r4adkshn1)
WB ownzzzz!!! last night i found out just how my a/f was doing... and boy i'm rich as bill gates on wot. before tonight, i thought i was leaning out cause my EGT would climb to and bast 1400f during full boost high rpms. i found out that the percentage i am cutting the 450cc (roughly 30.8%) is good for ~12:1 @~8 psi, but because my shitty internal wastegate spikes and ***** and gigglz i would boost to like 12 psi then it would back down to ~7psi. during the 12 psi spike i would be in the 13:... a/f then when it quickly back down to about 7 psi i'd be back in the 11: ... a/f. The EGT would hold at about 1280f, during psi spike it would begin climbing past 1300f, then when quickly back to ~7 psi it would still climb. i assume the mixture is "burning" in the manifold for the explanation. NO "audible" detonation during tests and at 3rd gears pulls from 3k up to 7.3k rpm.
I need an external wastegate.
BUT go get this WB!
edit: out of boost @wot i'd be in the 10:5 area!!

I did this same one. Its really cheap like $25 for parts + sensor. The web site is http://www.diy-wb.com. You order the board and a parts kit and put that crap together. I just need to get a sensor and mine will be ready. Great part is that this is almost the exact same design as the techedge wideband, minus that snazzy readout display.

Re: finished my DIY-WB (swlabhot)
I used the same Ratshack enclosure, with the LED plumbed to the outside of the box.

Not to jump on you for not knowing, but the Techedge is the stolen open source DIY-WB unit, a side project of the DIY-EFI project. It's a little offensive to see someone stealing other peoples hard work in order to make a profit, and then have 1001 people recognize "Techedge" over "DIY-WB."

not sure how he is doing it, but if you get a techedge you can get a display unit with it if not you can also wire your wb to the EMS unit to read your a/f but you have to calibrate it from what I hear

Re: finished my DIY-WB (LJR-LUDE01)
if you go to the site, there is a DIY display and in the works, i believe, datalogging.
I read the vout with my trusty digital multimeter. it's pretty damn hard to tune on road by yourself. even if it is open secluded road, there's so much to watch and periods of times to watch them. I don't need a display, as the wb is in only to tune not daily driver.
I don't plan on using hondata or aem, i hope. just waiting for obd0 development

Re: finished my DIY-WB (94goldjungsr)
if u can solder, follow directions to a tee, can see, have patience, and the required supplies/tools u can do it.
just follow the instructions on the site for construction and checking to see if everything works before usage. the provided images are a big help.
