Looks excellent, blue cam gears will set that off real nice.

That car should move!

Did you use a new gasket? If you did all you can really do is try some rtv sealant.

Hmm, wonder if the pan, bent and isn't sitting flush on the bottom of the motor, put some massive RTV on both sides of the gasket and see if you can get it to seal. That is a pain in the ***.

the torque spec on pan bolta is only around 7 ft/lbs correct..

its possible that you are overtightening the pan.

How safe is it to mount the fpr to the rail like that? Wouldn't to much vibration maybe crack the adapter or something causing it to break off?

I wanted to run it like that aswell but decided to run it to the firewall.

There are two metal washers on the tranny side studs that are built into the gasket. Sometimes when you take off a gasket they tend to stick around the studs which will leak when you put a new gasket on.

lol we have a winner

pulled the pan back off late last nite and found not only 1 but 2 old washers stuck on 1 of the studs. I never knew about this before as on my old car i always used cheap napa gaskets (no metal washers)...anyways the new gasket should be here in the morning and hopefully she'll be good to go
