Default a few sohc greddy turbo install questions

today we are hopefully putting the final touches on my turbo kit, and I have a few questions.

94 civic Si, d16z6
GReddy d-series sohc turbo kit with eManage

1. will a BOV affect the stock tune on eManage? i'm not putting the BOV on yet, but i have one. Will eManage still work fine once its on?

2. I remember reading once a long time ago about some way to start the car without it actually starting to circulate oil through the turbo, but i cant find it again. What's the deal with this? how do you do it?

3. my kit came with a bag of fuel injectors ( i think they're fuel injectors). they are never mentioned at all in the instructions, should i put them in?

4. is there any break in procedure for turbos? i don't plan and immediately taking it out and doing WOT runs everywhere, but any special precautions i should take?

i know i had some more questions, but i cant think of them now.ill update this thread throughout the install with more questions.

thanks

so are you asking what to do to get the oil circulated to the turbo without the car turning on?

If so, take out the ecu fuse in the fuse box under the hood then turn the key about 5 times

take the spark plug wires off then crank it acouple times.
yes put those injectors in because they gave them to you for a reason. and lastly just drive around for a couple hundrd miles to break it in. that what i would do

bov wont hurt anything, put one on along with a intercooler and might as well get a walbro fuel pump...

you say you have a 94 civic...the greddy turbo kit for the 92-95 civics dont come with injectors.. the 96-00 turbo kits come with 310cc injectors. are you sure you have a 92-95 kit? the tune on the emanage will be different between the two..

i know i ordered the 92-95 kit, im assuming its what i have. everything has fit so far.

i just checked on the injectors.. they are 310cc?!???

do the parts in the 96-00 kits fit on 92-95? or did they just accidentally throw in the injectors.. am i even supposed to have emanage?

what the deuce is going on?!

well thats good to know about emanage.

thats pretty much all i have right now, hard to really see it..

the injectors say RC Racing SL9-310

assuming i do have the 92-95 kit and they just accidentally gave me the injectors, could i use them? it probably wouldnt help now, but when i increase the boost?

looks like the right kit. wierd that you got the injectors....

what is cast into the side of the turbo?

the 15g kits dont come with injectors.. i know i just recently bought the kit brand new. the 18g kits comes with injectors and its a little bit bigger turbo.

you guys dont have the 15g kit then. goto http://www.greddy.com and look under bolt on turbo kits..

they DO NOT come with 310cc injectors.

answer me this. how much did you guys pay for your kits?

i would install the injectors after you get the support tool so you can rescale the map for 310's and not 240's. Or sell them and make 200 bucks lol, since i doubt you'll max out your stock injectors without damaging something lol

i guess there is no way to tell until i start the car, eh?

would it just run really poorly if it was tuned for the y8? or is there a risk of damage if i start it with it tuned wrong?

the ignition would be way off, but if the emanage is tuned for fuel on a y8 it should be pretty much the same for a z6 so the fuel wont be an issues but the timing will be

at what level of boost do you think the injectors would be useful? is there any point in me hanging on to them or should i sell them?

... anyone want to buy them?
