Few Questions for 300whp CRX
I have a CRX with a d16z6. It currently has J.E. Pistons(9.36:1 compressions), eagle rods, and ARP head studs. The turbo is a turbonetics To4E. All together i am looking to make about 300whp or a touch more.
I am in the process of replacing the bearings in the engine because my oil pump failed ~5000 miles after i put it all together the first time. Here is what I plan to do while i have it out ACT 12lb flywheel, clutch masters stage 4 clutch, ARP clutch and flywheel hardware, and a good crank and fresh bearings.
Later on down the road i do plan on picking up a bisimoto stage 2.4 turbo cam and some springs and retainers.
My biggest question is with what i have now would 300hp be a reasonable goal? Or what is a reasonable goal?
Next question is what bearings should i buy? When i put the engine together i used ACL race bearings but have read mixed reviews on them.
Lastly when i get the new oil pump should it be ported, polished, and shimmed or just leave it alone?
