Default A few pics of a car a friend and I have been trying to turbo

Heres the story with this thing. This guy comes walking down the street one day and asks me if I would be interested in turbocharging his car. I was like sure what you got. He took me up to his house and opened his garage and showed me this pile of parts that he wanted put onto his Civic DX hatch. And here is where we sit now in those pics.

Here is what we have done to this car.
D16Y8 Intake Mani on a D16Y7
DSM Injectors
DSM Turbo
SS Autochrome Manifold (told him he may run into problems?)
Turbonetics Wastegate
Some kind of old intercooler from another car?
That super tiite intercooler piping job that you see in the pics
Exedy Clutch disc with a used pressure plate of some kind haha!!
SAFC II
and a few other nick nacks that I cant think of right now.

We arent done just yet been procrastinating alot here lately plus I broke my elbow not to long ago so that is holding us up. Anyways give me some comments. Like I said it isnt done still got a little more to accomplish like the exhaust has got to be finished. I know one thing from working on this car when someone says they got everything look twice because they probably dont! haha.

One more thing the tranny on this car was a pain in the ****! I know 2 bolts broke off in the block while loosening them? Never had that happen to me also the tranny didnt want to come off the engine and didnt want to go back on. It was a major pain

Yeah its not the greatest setup ever but its most certain not the worst that I have ever seen!

another pic maybe you can see how we did the elbows going into the little intercooler and exiting it. We used some radiator hose for something we found at Napa and in that one pic you can see that crush bent pipe that we used and got from Checkers from the exhaust section. Since the inlet and outlet on that intercooler were so small we had to find something that would fit on it which wasnt to hard to do

Wait a minute that is a t-bolt clamp on a reducer that I found in the Checker exhaust section leading to the crush bent pipe.

As far as numbers I dont have a clue what this thing is gonna make. Its gonna be running that AFC hack so we will just have to wait and see.

Yeah I know JC whitney sells that stuff cause that is where I got all of my piping but this isnt my car and Im only gonna work with the money this dude gave us to work with. He has some mandrel piping but it wasnt anything we could really use. Like I said never believe someone when they say I got everything you need to turbo my car.

I fogot to add that he has a First Gen. DSM bov that we need to get welded up on the intake piping also we need to get a few intercooler pipes welded.

Same intercooler I have. I don't know what it came off either but I like the 7" x 13" core.

Yeah and the little 1" inlet and outlet or whatever size they are, are on the same side right near each other.

1.75".... My charge pipes are only 2". And this was good for me because I could mount it without having to cut anything:
