Ferrari F40 - A few upgrades...
I don't make a lot of posts but I figured it would be wrong not to share this...
We've recently taken in an F40 for some diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades. The car was brought to us with some significant drivability issues. Keep in mind this is no ordinary (is there such a thing) F40, it has twin Garrett GT3071R's with TiAL housings, custom headers, a built motor, and most of the supporting mods (more to come).
The first issue we came across was a major ignition miss caused by faulty wiring. To solve this we've decided to rebuild the entire ignition harness utilizing an M&W Pro-18d, and 8 Denso pencil coils.
We'll keep the updates coming but meanwhile here are a few more pics...
Don't worry it's getting a new splitter.
All Business...

I don't understand the relevance of this thread? What is your point? If everyone posted "customer cars" on here this section would be worse than the GDD forum with useless topics...

Like I said I don't post much but I think this is worth it. I'm sure plenty of people on here would love to see such a rare piece of automotive history. There are less than 1000 of these left and how many of those do you think are modified? Sorry to waste your time but I think maybe you're a bit harsh considering.

Indeed, a great Ferrari! Got the privilege of driving next to one (in the City) and it sounds awesome! Much smaller than I expected. Guess I did not know what to expect, but the vehicle can move as you would expect!

Honestly if you're going to drive it and you have the money to not care about the loss in value it needs it. It was designed in the 80's and just doesn't have modern super car power. It's also cheaper to modify than it is to replace components with new OEM ones.

The talon has no lights, and an upgraded chargecooler
As much as I love cars, and most Ferrari's are gorgeous. The F40 looks like a wax car that was melted in a microwave, soooo ugly. It looks better with the rear cowl removed than with those ugly body panels on it. It's better looking that the F50 at least, the one with a hood looks like the snout of a down syndrome pig.
Aesthetics aside, more motor info!!!!
