Default Feasability of running a JRSC with 12.5:1 CR...?

I currently have 12.5:1 .020 over JE pistons with eagle rods and stock sleeves in my JDM GSR block and a stock head. Now, ive always liked superchargers but unfortunantly made the high CR decision before i had thought it thru completely.

My question is how likely is it to get a safe running JRSC at 6 or 8psi with 12.5:1 CR? I have access to 110 octance race gas, 104 octane race gas and 94 pump gas.

Any input would be great. Thanks!

its possible with race gas, stand alone and virtually no timing throughout the entire rpm range

with that high of compression you have very little room for error. i would not recommend running this type set up personally, but if you have it dyno tuned properly with a good engine management system anything is possible... And i seriously doubt you want to pay to run 104 octane 24-7. did you guys know that the big 18 wheeler's run turbo diesel with 18.0:1 compression? Pretty crazy huh... dont think im trying to relate the 2, just thought id share that with everyone.

yea most turbo diesels run extremely high compression ratios. probably because they run different fuel and run glow plugs instead for spark plugs.

Diesel engines as you guys know are way different as our unleaded engines combust, diesel detonates, detonation is a diesels friend. Its how they run. There are guys that I have seen up the boost to close to 30psi on a diesel truck, no worries pretty much. With ur high of compression is it possible to change the headgasket to lower the compression a little? Not sure if it would help enough but just curious.

Good luck!
