Factory H23 rod strength...How much Power can they handle?
Simple question...I searched but I didn't see any mention of it.
I'm just curious how much power you guys have pushed with stock rods?
I posted this in the Prelude forum, but it seems as though not many people know...Just tryin to get an answer.
I know pistons are the weak links before the rods, but I'm just curious in the rod strength as of now.
Thanks.

Not very good. Actually the bearing blow hard on the H series. But, then again I have seen 10 second passes on stock blocks. We all know there are just guys out there that get lucky for a while. I would say depending on the application:
Turbo: 12-14psi w/sound tuning
N2O: I have pushed my friends to 125 hp shot w/sound tuning (that was about 285whp). Stock other than the bolt ons, and was able to run mid 11's in an EG (SI model).
Hope that helps a little man.
