f22b1 sohc head... max boost on stock head q?
I have seen this is mostly a b series populated forum but curious if anyone wants to make any guess about the f series motor.
I am trying to put down some good tripple digit numbers but I am not sure how far this head is gonna go, boost wise? Have heard from the grape vine that about 12-14 psi is max on the stock head and shiet.
Anyone know any good references for f series info? or wanna make any educated guesses?

Not sure of what your asking so here are two answers.
1.) your head is gonna start to bottleneck and not lt you make much more power after about 1BAR.
2.) will your head handle more boost yeah it will "handle" more but will become inefficient. It doesnt matter tho because my money says your internals are gonna come flying out your oil pan.
Is this motor a closed deck design?

Theres a guy on here boosting 12-13 psi on a stock block ( if i'm not mistaken ) i think his name is neidjbe or something like that , he's usually in the accord forum, he's using an fmax kit on a f22b1 ( it's in a 96 acura tl tho ).
My guess is dont go over 8-9 psi on stock internals, the comp is boost friendly but i wouldnt risk going over that limit without building the engine.
As always a search from the accord forum might help you out..try using boosted f22b1 or turbo accord, there should be some threads in the archives

yeah I was meaning to ask at what psi max can it still efficiently flow air?
I wanna makes some good power, but I dont wanna have to dump a ton in the head to do it... not immediately after getting the turbo and lower end all done.

If your car isn't boosted from the factory and you add a turbo kit to it, the best place to put your money is in the bottom end.
stock motors just can't handles the stress.
although, honda's strong point is and always will be their high flow heads.
your head Is gonna be able to flow way more than your stock internals could ever hang with.
buy some internals Then worry about the head.

I would recommend less than 10 psi.
I put down 238hp/243 @ 10 psi (fmax comes with a .65 bar spring (9.4 psi).
You need to invest in tuning after the turbo is installed or you'll dump more into a rebuild regardless of boost level.

planning 10 psi boost to start with...
yeah tuning is going to be vital... unfortunately I will prob. be doing most on a dyno w/ wb o2 myself... not many tuner in my area (like none).

p.s. yes this is a closed deck f22b1 and it will be rebuilt whenever I get to the point of uping the boost past 10 psi.
should have told you that part, I am not trying to window the block or anything.

sweet, thats actually not to bad a drive really.
65 a hour is cheap too... only other dyno around is stegimeyer's (or however is it spelled) and he is not that cheap.

Damn man niedejb, your making some good power... whats your secret.
So many people claim the sohc are shitty but I would think it would work wonders with the turbo.
Any problems yet or issues you had to deal with? Were did you set your vtec crossover with the boost... heard some put it really low like 2900 instead of the normal 4k it is most time.

Secret is tuning and the 500cc injectors.
VAFC is set at 3100 rpm (the lower the better for all VAFC's ive seen tuned).
