Exhaust/downpipe questions. Recirc wastegate? Hi-flow cat?
Need some advice on best setup for my downpipe. New motor will be an F22B1 w/ Arias 10.5:1 pistons, eagle H beams, log manifold, 60 trim t3/t4, 38mm wastegate, etc.
Exhaust setup will be 2.5" downpipe with a full 3" exhaust, 18" resonator and Vibrant muffler.
For one, I want to recirculate the wastegate or at least plumb it way back under the car so it's not dumping right beside my turbo. I know if I recirculate it close to the turbo hotside it will cause turbulence and potentially other issues. So, what is the optimal distance after the turbo that I need to recirculate it? Also, with a setup like this will I potentially have any boost creep issues?
Two, will it hinder performance any if I weld in a 2.5" high flow catalytic converter to the downpipe? Placement would be near the end of it, closer to the 3" exhaust. Roughly 3-3.5 feet from the turbo itself. If it's going to cause a major issue I'll just skip it for now but I'm tired of a stinky car.

Id say at least 6" downstream of the turbine, maybe 12? I don't think it has to be anything crazy. And you will lose performance with any cat. But on a mild setup the trade off might be worth it to you. You can always boost a little more
