Exedy Clutch and Spoon Flywheel install this weekend... time to break in??
Got the spoon flywheel down at nopi, just got in my clutch today. Im going to put it in on saturday, going to try and get some pics of the install and final product. I was wondering about the break in time for the clutch. I did a search and saw that about five hundred miles is pretty common time (city miles). I was wondering though if for the break in time, when your taking it easy, can you just not engage it fast (such as quick shifting), or can you not accelerate fast at all after the clutch is already engaged? Or can you not do both?

500-1000 miles of nice easy driving. Let that clutch break in nice and smooth so it will grab hard later.
I got my Exedy clutch today too! Got to throw that sucka in this weekend.

im pretty sure once its engaged you can get on it, just chill out between shifts. this is easier said than done though, i have about 300 on my clutchnet and its driving me crazy, especially since i just dropped in new injectors, and cant really play with them.

hell ya dude, that's my gf, joo like??
\to my knowledge... with a new clutch just be easy on the shifts... no hard shifting... its ok to accelerate a little... but i would just stay off it for 500 miles... i didnt on one clutch and it crapped out on me after a month... an expensive lesson learned and hopefully it wont happen to u
