Default Everypone running Cartech fuel pressure regulators......

I'm tired of fighting my JRSC fuel pressure regulator. I have read in the past of the guys that have switched to Cartech's fuel pressure regulator with success!!! I need to know what model number they are using. Can anyone help me??? My SC GSR would greatly appreciate it as well!!!

Do not buy the old one. Complete piece off ***. it lasted for four months and after that I had to carry the tools in my car to take it out of the line and bypass it on the side of the road. That damn thing would get stuck down and flood the engine and it would just turn off. I even tried rebuilding it and doing all kinds of stuff and it was still gay.

Confirm that. Cartech 20005 exemplifies everything that was wrong with american manufacturing in the 1970s. Nothing fits together correctly, and if you think it does, it's just a matter of time before it proves you wrong. The 20020 seems like a nicer piece but given their record I'd have a hard time giving the same company more money for something they should be GIVING away to everyone who bought a 20005.

On a side note, my Vortech has been very good to me. I've had no problems with it at all for the 8 months that Ive had it. I did notice that the new cartech isnt cast, it's machined out of billet. this should improve quality but I would never give them another chance.

I've heard the same about the vortechs. Never heard a complaint about one.

I think the flow rate on the Vortech is 35-70 psi. I'm not sure if that is enough or not.

the rate is whatever you want it to be. you can get the disks to adjust the rise ratio.

the 20005 i had was pretty nice....for about 4 months. Then it began leaking boost through the bolt holes. I repaired it, and it ran fine for about another 2 weeks, then it began sticking and raising fuel pressures astronomically.
The 20020 does look pretty nice though, and if i was going to get another FMU that would be the one I'd want.
