To everyone with a almost STOCK JRSC on a 96-01 GSR
Alright, here is what I'm planning on doing:
I have a 00 GSR and am planning on putting a Jackson Racing Supercharger on it. Where I live my car MUST pass an OBD2 scan (where they just plug the computer up to the OBD port and scan for any codes).
My question is, can I supercharge it and run 6-8 PSI with the stock ECU and no tuning? This is not for performance. I just need to know this because if it does, then that means I can supercharge my car and have 2 different ECU's. 1 that is tuned right and my stock one that I can put back when i have to get emissions done.

That's what I do for emissions here in TX. Since I still have a stock fuel system, it's pretty easy. Just disable the blower by removing the drive belt (if your kit has a jackshaft, if not just get a shorter belt to bypass the charger). Then plug in your stock ECU and drive for a while to make sure you don't throw codes.
DON'T drive with boost on the stock ECU! You will at the least throw a code almost instantly, and at the worst destroy your engine.

I use Hondata, but during emissions time...I throw the stock ecu, injectors, and jackson fmu back in. Remove the map sensor relocator and adjust my timing back to jackson specs about 10 degrees. Drive about a hundred plus miles for the ecu to check all the sensors. And I'm ready to go.
I've passed emissions no problems, about 3 times so far and hope to pass a 4th time later this year.
The kit is carb legal and being that I'm in California I've certainly tested that.
Obd2 port check, gas cap test and smog machine checked everytime.

Also, the psi won't make a difference, the smog guy shouldn't put enough load on the vehicle for it to boost much if at all. I've smogged with a 6psi, 8psi and 10psi pulley.

thanks..
this is along the lines what i have been thinking.
my friend has an LS/VTEC fully built, and he just put a stock gsr ecu in to take the test. He passed, and as soon as he left, his check engine light came back on lol.
