Ever taken your turbo'd civic on a road trip?
Any problems with overheating or serious rise in thermostat temp?
Was the turbo manifold glowing?

theoretically, you could drive the whole road trip without ever seeing a single pound of boost. so as long as you're not driving the car hard, you shouldn't have any problems.

i took my car on several road trips ... 2+hrs daily for a few months, then a couple 4hr trips. never had any problems ... just keep it out of boost and maybe stop to get a drink to let the car cool off for 10-15minutes

I took many trips on a stock revhard kit w/o any problems
Just stop every once and awile to let her cool and check fluids
Its a good idea to have some gauges to make sure everythings all good

taken many road trips and the car ran like stock
i actually noticed lots of power on 4k rpms and up since the intercooler was ncie and cool due to the lot of air flow

The first big road trip i took my turbo Gsr on, i blew my motor on the way back. But it wasnt from the trip, it was from cracked ring lands that I was not aware of. When I left I had full oil, and 400 miles later I had none. Spun a rod bearing. Doh.

I took mine to Florida early this year, 900 miles one way plus a week of driving there. Not one problem unless you try 90 mph in 90 degree temps for a 1/2 hour then the temps go up. Factory VX radiaitor.

I took a 1500 mile round trip road trip earlier this week, over the course of 3 days. Did some boosting on the highway, covered 80 miles in about 45 minutes at one point. Car never overheated, I'm running a PWR Radiator with dual slim line fans.

did an 11 hr trip.. when i got there.. my radiator cap took a crap on me from the extended heat.. the rubber seal melted and got deformed so it wouldn't seal, thus no pressure...
i made it back safely though, and put a replacement on...

Drove my turbo GSR 100-200miles daily for work, live in area with 100+deg temps. My hatch with GSR motor and VX radiator didn't like 70+mph in 95 deg temps, got a PWR now........85-95mph for 30min straight in 100degs last week no problems!

Same **** happened to me This past weekend on the way to Ennis.
I just put the motor in the car the day before, and it scared the **** outta me.
after about 2 hours or driving it took a dump.
I had to pinch off the overflow line...
and fill it up about every 20 mins....

I've taken many road trips. I usually drive from memphis to knoxville (about 6 hrs) and the last time I managed about 120mph most of the way inbetween towns. No problems.
