No man. You're the first to use a blow off valve. Let us know how it goes, ok.

My friend used one for a bit, it came with his FMAX kit. He didn't like it but I think its probably a pretty good BOV

I'm pretty sure by-pass valves are for MAF metered cars.

Yup, from the looks of it that HKS BPV can be setup so that the air is routed back into the intake, like most OEM BPV setups. Most BOV's aren't setup like that, they just blow off into the atmospehere. The HKS BPV has a nozzle, that you can attach a hose that you can connect to your intake.

He deduced it simply by looking at it. Any By-pass valve should work as a standard BOV, but not vice versa.

Yup, just like he said, I just guessed it by looking at it. That nozzle can easily make it work as a BPV but it can also work like a regular BOV if you let it vent to the atmosphere. If you look at say an HKS SS BOV and most other BOV's, you wont see a nozzle that you could easily mount a hose to and route back into your intake.

there is an adapter you can buy for the HKS SSQ that allows a hose to be connected to it for rerouting the bypassed air. my friend has one on his MR2.
