Enought fuel? 290's fpr 255 and 12:1
Ok here is my set up: Stock d-series and I am using a small t25 turbo. I would be runnight the stock 8lb of boost. I can get some 290cc injector for like nothing. Stock zc with integra ecu.
Would : 8lb + FPR + Walbro 255 + 12:1 + 290cc = enough fuel
I have serched alot. Please help.

it came off a mitsu. gsx
tiny *** thing. But the setup is only going to be in for like 8 months. Still I don't want to blow or spend too much money. That is why I was wondering if hte 290cc will work, because i can get them for free. I have always heard that 310cc was the way to go but that is only 20cc more. does it make that much diffrence

if u have a FMU u need an inline.. doesnt matter the turbo size if the FMU is a 12:1 its still gonna raise your fuel pressure 12psi for every 1 psi of boost. so your starting fuel pressure.. say 42+ 12x8 = 138psi of fuel pressure.. thats pretty damn high man

if that walburo 255 is a high pressure it might, KEYWORD MIGHT, work.. i dont know how much psi that can push but i would not imagine it would be that high.
with all that u might have to much fuel.. you would have to wideband it to see.. probably only need like a 6:1 or so

Ok I understand that the fuel pressure is going to be high, but is there any real harmful thing about have my fp this high. I have a fuel pressure regulator as well. Could I use these to controll my presure. Would upgrading to the 290cc be even worth it. I know the fuel is not going to be prefect, but this is a homemade kit. My biggest worry is blow the motor up, or messing up my rings. thanks

It will be enough...probably too much actually. The 12:1 disk is for stock injectors (240cc/min). You should use a 10:1 disk with those 290's. No harm in using the 12:1 except that it will run rich and your fuel pressure will be reeeally high.

How high is high fuel pressure. I thought tha i have seen tons of people run 12:1 on setups like mine. How dangerous is this. What will happen if my fuel pressure gets to high.

With a 12:1 disk and 6 psi of boost, you'd be looking at about 110 psi of pressure. Anything over 100 psi is starting to push it. Some people have gotten away with 120 psi+ for extended periods of time, but it's hard on the injectors and generally not a good idea...especially in an older car with some mileage on the fuel lines.
Dangers of too much fuel pressure include the standard scary stuff like blown up engine, blown up car, car fire, death, etc.
If you're gonna run that much fuel pressure, I would HIGHLY recommend getting an in-car fuel pressure gauge.

sonny you have been a great insight. It is great to learn new stuff..
No you said that I would be running rich but how rich are we talking. Will the car Idle? What size fmu would work the best and where can i get it. I am surprised that 290cc and a 12:1 would be rich.
What types of boost condition are 12:1 good for, because I see them all over the place. I just figured it was the one I needed.
All you Ht members have been great. Keep it coming.
Just when I though I had the fuel thing understood.. I get lost again.

yea the car will idle.. if u have the FMU on it i dont think u run your fpr.. FMU only messes with fuel pressure when it sees boost. so idle will be fine. if u run a FMU i advise to look into getting an inline fuel pump. i know mine once it goes more than 6psi without the inline pump on it cuts out, kinda like your rev limiter u will definaly tell its starving... thats bad... like he said i think it will be to much fuel for a small t25.. isnt that a gsx, gst turbo

thanks again.
where can I get a smaller fmu at then. And how much pressure is fuel line good for.
You can just switch the disks in the fmu too right? If a smaller fmu is the way to go then what size would be the correct one.
thanks
