EMS TUNED! My built H22 turbo EG finally on the prowl!!!
Ok, it has been a work in progress, I bought this car BONE STOCK July 2, 2002. I had just burnt valves in the JDM H22 I had in my old prelude so I started building it. I have been putting all of my blood (literally), sweat, and tears (yes i cried about it once!) into this car since day 1 and now it is on the street again. Absolutely everything was done by me except the machine work on the block, and the EMS tuning. I fully rebuilt the engine, and assembled the entire car from stock.
Mods list is REALLY long so I will just let you guys in on the good ones:
Wiseco 8.8:1 pistons and wiseco rings
eagle rods
darton sleeves
Skunk2 nitride coated valves
Skunk2 valvesprings
Skunk2 titanium retainers
stock cams
AEM EMS: Tuned by Sean McElderry @ Torque Freaks (Horsepower Freaks) in Portland, he is a tuning genius, and VERY straightforward, NO bullshit from him!
720cc injectors (need to upgrade to 900cc injectors soon, the 720's are @ 93% duty cycle @only 14 psi of boost and 7300 RPM's (my H22 is thirsty!!)
Garrett standard t3/t04e
Custom Maxrev stainless equal length manifold
2.5" downpipe flared to 3" - custom made by me
3" full exhaust to and Apexi N-1 -custom made by me
24x11" Griffin intercooler, all custom intercooler piping made by me
Rays engineering GRAM LIGHTS
Wilwood 4 piston calipers and 2 piece trick-*** 12.2" rotors
rear disks from a 2000 civic SI
Ground control coilovers w/ custom spring rates
Tokico Illuminas
Type R rear sway bar w/ Beaks kit
EG6 gauge cluster
Greddy gauges
No 1/4 times yet, I plan to go for my best on drag radials, I don't know if I want to ever put slicks on the car, it is a DAILY DRIVEN street car @ 14 psi of boost currently. No dyno numbers either... YET! The car was tuned conservatively on pump gas to run 11.8:1 AFR under full boost, 14:1 AFR @idle, and approximately 15:1 at cruise so I still get GREAT gas mileage! I plan to get a different intake manifold, a set of cams, and cam gears, and then fine tune on the dyno. This car is just getting started, I want the SICKEST street front wheel drive car that can still be comfortable, FULL INTERIOR. I am NOT going for what Mike@Motormatrix is going for, he's a little to extreme for my street car tastes!
...that's all you get for now, there are LOTS LOTS more but I am tired of typing. Enjoy.

Haven't had it on the dyno yet! The car was tuned against Air Fuel Ratio, intake air temperature, exhaust gas temperature, etc. I have not fine tuned it on the dyno, however the MAP is nearly flawless, ZERO hiccups, perfect transition into boost. I expect it to be making over 400 whp as it sits right now @ 14psi. I will let you all know when I have numbers.

Looks awesome man... Sean's Supra is a perfect example of how standalone systems can actually be tuned to perform as well if not better than oem ecu's. He is really nice with the EMS

Very Very nice set up!!!
I have a very simular set up in my lude. I have 8.8 wisco pistons, darton sleeves, Kiwi Manifold, web cam spring and retainers, Handata etc... But I'm going to use 72lb injectors(about732cc).
I was hoping to tune up to 18 psi, but if you're running at 93% duty cycle w/720cc at 14psi, I may have buy another set of injectors!!!
What fuel pressure are you running?
What size turbo (turbine a/r, compressor trim)?
Do you have any head work done? Because 400+hp may not be possible at 14 psi, I don't think the h22 head flows that much. I was hoping for 400 at 18 psi
Please keep us posted, I would like to know what your set up put down!!!

Re: (Hondaddict)
I been hearing about your car at work mainly from Jon Reed. He says the car pulls pretty damn good and that's coming from a guy that's driven numerous T78, T88 supras! Awesome set up, Clean *** EG, Life is Good
Was wondering how much Sean charges for tuning? I've never met Sean personally but he seems real cool. I will definitely hit up Sean to tune my soon to be pressurized EK.

what axles are you using to run that much power? Have you done a burnout or a hard launch yet with them?

Driveshaftshop stage 2 400 hp axles with prelude intermediate shaft. No problems so far!
