EGT temp raised after installed new spark plugs.
I was using NGK Bcpr7es and my EGT was at 580 Celcius @ 80mph..10 Vacumm...
But after I changed to the NGK R5671a-9 gapped at .028 (a step colder?)...My temp goes up to 620 Celcius at the same speed...
Is this supposed to happen? And what's your EGT temp?

bad advice, high egts are fine while cruising, actually 600 C even seems low.

I'm pretty sure I'm not running lean..600 c is kinda rich..I was just wondering why a step colder plug would raised temp..

you're right, thanks for correcting me...my brain totally didn't pay attention to the temp number that was given at all lol...i'm more used to wide ban a/f meters
