EGT going to 1500 what are some ways i can lower them a bit????
Hey guys im running hondata but the year is almost over and im going to have to store my car.
When i run 10psi my EGT's start to climb to 1500 1 of 2 things.
Run less timing?
I tried more fuel but it just bucks and does not spool.
If i could i would tune my own hondata but now burner nor software.

If you richened it up a bit and that didnt work try and come down a degree or two on the timing.

1500 is not bad by any means, what is your knock voltage? can you monitor how much timming is being pulled when you start to see the higher egts?

1500 isn't too bad...what's the timing at now at full boost wot? how is the afr there too? you can pull a little bit more timing and it might help, but if you pull timing, especially if you do it for the entire boost section, you'll have to retune...it'll richen up the entire boosted area.

You guys arent pointing which specific measurement.
Degrees (C) Degrees (F)
I'm pretty sure hes reading fahrenheit, hes ok then.
But from what I know that close to pre ignition range.

1500 isn't bad. Mine was around 1550 at 12 psi.
Lowering timing will increase the temprature.

add fuel, increase timing = get tuned properly.
uh 1500C = 2732F. his probe would have to be inside the combustion chamber heh.

1550 at wot 15psi, I think aluminum starts to melt at like 1800*f. I haved hit 1700*at wot for about a month without knowing because of no egt gauge then I get the egt on and see this, come to find out my timing was so far advanced I'm lucky I didn't blow my motor .

aluminum melts at 1215 degrees. The oxidization that forms on it melts at over 3000.
hard to tell you whats up without an a/f or a timing map... lol. but like they said more fuell or more timing both lower egt's.
less timing = more energy goes out the exhaust = hotter

Add timing. If your only at 16degrees total then you have lots of room to add. To give you an idea, Im running 24.5 degrees total from 5 psi up to 15 psi on pump gas with no problems. My EGT's reach 900 C on hard 1-4 gear pulls.

Re: (93LSivic)
Yeah ive been driving the car all weekend and it pulls alot harder and is alot easyier to drive. My EGT probe is in the top of the turb after the manifold so i loose like 100 or 200 deg of heat so i would like to stay at 1400.
Thanks for the info guys
