EF vs EG for a turbo STREET car (AC required)
well guys im at a crossroads on what i want to do for my upcoming project car, and i have a few questions. im looking at picking up a car and i want to know which car would be best for my setup an EF hatch or an EG coupe. i love the body styles of both cars but i love the weight of the EF more than the EG so heres my question.
my turbo honda will be a streetcar, seeing the track twice a month during the summer at the most, and one of the requirements is AC and PS. i looked at a bunch of EF setups on this site and it looks like everything is a really tight fit and i was wondering if it is possible to run a 3 inch downpipe with AC and PS on an EF? im also thinking of doing an E-cutout setup (just not sure yet). i already did a few searchs with no luck on answering my question.
my goal is to eventually reach about 550 whp in a few years with probably an sc61 with the coresponding fuel system/management/built engine and AC/PS. in the mean time ill boost either a stock ls or b16 (not sure which engine yet) with a 300whp goal on the stock engine with hondata and fuel system.
so the main question, is a 3 inch downpipe possible on an ef with PS and AC and a good turbo manifold?? if thats too far fetched than ill go with the eg.
sorry for the long post but i didnt want to leave anything out

It's possible to run a 3" dp on a EF If you have a aftermarket crossmember (jimfab, full race, ect..)
Although with a AC compressor in there... man I dunno it's going to be pushing it.
Power steering? cmon you dont need that bullshite...

Re: EF vs EG for a turbo STREET car (panda)
thanks for the input guys, is there anyone out there that has a 3 inch downpipe w/ AC on their EF? what do u think about the E cutout, would that make things easier?(i dont think it would but just putting it out there)

i have a EF HB
it is some tight fit
but a jimfab front member (for ex) will clear a lot more space
u dont need PS. many models EF didnt had one, i dont and i think is better, plus u cant tell barely
anyways, AC its a luxury, u dont need it
what engine? what manifold? are u keeping in mind? i guess a B series, if so less space, but at the end, i love the EF weight..
i got 180whp and i smoke many hybrids around
