Default Edelbrock VictorX Manifold and FPR

Im having a clearance issue with the stock FPR and the VictorX manifold. Theres only 1/4" between the nipple and the plenum, not enough space for the return line without kinking.

I searched the archives and it seems most people are using an aftermarket FPR so this isnt an issue. I dont want to spend another hundred bucks or so to get a new FPR just to run this manifold.

-Should I bend the tube? Its small it might break.
-Should I cut the tube? Then it wont have the flare on the end.
-Can I mount it upside down? Will it work upside down?
-Does anybody sell an adapter to rotate the FPR 90*?

i vote to cut it and just put a zip tie on it or even take some house hold wire and wrench that **** on there. not having a flare wont hurt anything!

Buy a 90 degree bend or I think GE or another company sells a kit that lets you rotate the Reg to that it clears the Manny. I had the same issue and I just sold my Reg and bought a firewall mounted piece.

I got an frp regulator adapter from the jackson racing supercharger kit. you can call JR directly and order one..it's about $35.

Jackson Racing Supercharger Part # 051-146 "ADAPTER BD FUEL REG"

Double check...to make sure..it's for the fuel pressure reg.

I read in another thread that the guy bought an adapter from Jackson Racing. It was on the B16 kit, I think.

bend the tube, its very easy, I've done it before but later switch to a AEM fpr and had to buy an adapter from http://www.camp1320.com that rotate the fpr to make it fit.
give them a call because its not listed on the site, its about $25
jackson racing also sells them

cut alitle off
if u ever see the da9 ones
that have a 90 degree bend
i cut it before it goes 90 and have been using it for a while....
gonna change to a 94+ and cut alittle but leave more stright pipe for assurance

i would use a stock 90-93 integra one
forsure it will fit that manifold

only if i didnt cut mine i would trade u!

I just put a little bend on mine. Looks much better than flipping it over.

Yeah, all the early MPFI cars use the FPR with the bend.

you guys make everything seems so difficult, just bend the damn thing its safe and simple, why should he cut it? when he can bend it with his hand. simple.

HAHAHAHA!!! Id really love to see someone bend that nipple with their hand! I had to do this a few weeks ago because i had one tha was hitting my s2 IM! I tried bending it with my hand...but all it did was bend the regulator where the nipple comes out. I ended up sticking t in a vice clamp and heated the nipple with a torch. Then i found a bolt that fit snuggly inside the nipple on the regulator and started slowly bending it while i was still heating it. It took a while and alot of heat but it finally bent. The nipple itsself is stronger than the regulator body...so bending it by hand will most likely mess it up. Good luck man!

Yah i would think that bending it would cause it to kink and loose its fuel return abilty to the point where it should be, thus maybe causing an increase in fuel pressure. I would just remove about 1/4 inch and use a screw clamp. I would never use a zip tie and fuel system in the same sentence.
