Default ECU been in crashed car bo good????????

I am trying to get my chipped PR3 ECU to work in my new teg the loom seems the same etc. But with the PR3 the car just has a solid CEL and is not switching on the fuel pump. Is this the result of a crash protection device in the ecu? I notice the case is cracked but circuit board etc seem fine. Chip is where it should be.

I can start the car on my stock ecu even with larger injectors MAP sensor etc.

Any ideas is this a common occurence in crashed cars?
Need a answer quick its a turbo car hence posting in here TIA.

Well if the case is cracked and it ain't working, something might be smashed on the board where you can't see it,

I have looked at both sides circuitry seems fine..

ANyone know whether you have to change the loom at all to run a PR3 ECU on a car that has a PR5 JOO in from the factory.

The CEL I am getting is code 0 faulty ecu.

I am just jhoping its the wiring somehow.

Anyone know a site that may know any info be appreciated.

If it's OBD0 PR3, they randomly and for no reason reject 29C256. Which PR3, and which chip?

It will be a OBD0 because the old ecu was a PR5

I'll find out soon. Actually I remember now the same thing was happening in the old car too straight after the accident perhaps the ecu did get damaged?

Cheers guys
