Ebay HKS STYLE BOV = Piece of junk
I tried just about everything to make it work. jb welding vaccum fitting, it also came with wrong snap ring - that took some time to find the right one. now, diaphragm separates and valve won't sit propely so it leaks all the time.. what a piece of junk!!!! maybe its ok for low hp but it doesn't work for 300+whp, thought i'd share..

?? if intent on here is to share information, then that is all i'm doing, product didn't work so i'll pass it on to others. $40 isn't huge of a gamble, unfortunately, i spent too much effort to make it work..

i'm wanting to go cheap on a bov, but i'm going with a 1g dsm bov instead of a knock-off.
its proven to work for decent boost numbers.

Re: Ebay HKS STYLE BOV = Piece of junk (gd99em1)
correction, it was not the diaphragm, but the rubber piece that sits right behind the insert, its a 2 piece and started to separate.. i applied glue again, let it sit longer this time so maybe it will seal..
took the rest apart and diapragm and rest of assembly looks intact hopefully the glue holds..
either way, they should have sold it as a kit, where you have to jb weld vacuum fitting, find your own snap ring, glue together that rubber piece on the valve.. giving it last shot.. bov is such simple device, at least that one is
