Re: Eagle Talon turbo.. is it a 16G? (Xander teh Grate!)
Thanks everyone.. Local has a talon, says its a 16G turbo, Unless it bolts right inplace of the 14B i think hes lying.. Turbo looks like its never been off the manifold or downpipe etc..
Says its spiking to 22lbs of boost with his 16G, have to settle this at the track friday, see if its what its cracked up to be.
BTW.. I dont know much about talons..
Thanks

Is there any markings on it or ways to identify it? My friend rode in it, he said it hauls ***.. The driver said i could take it out for a rip next time i see him.

Not neccessarily, I paid 459 + s/h brand new for my MHI EVOIII Big 16g.
And yes, the 16g is a direct replacement for the 1g DSM cars. The 2g DSM cars will require an install kit [oil lines, etc].

The 16g looks the same as the 14b from the outside. One way to tell it's a 16g is by looking at the blades, it has double blades, where the 14b has singles.

Adriano</TD></TR></TABLE>the blades of the impeller are not equal depth on the 16g, so one is short, the next is longer. thats what he means by double blades.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by teamlegacy »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">And yes, the 16g is a direct replacement for the 1g DSM cars. On the 2g's going to a 14b/16g the oil lines are different, I believe the water lines are at a different angle, and yea the intercooler j-pipe is at a different angle.
