e cut out and exhaust

e cut out and exhaust
would it be ok for the turbo and performance to run a 3" downpipe to a e-cutout,then from the e-cutout have the piping taper to use the stock exhaust?

its an exhaust cutout.see in the picture how the pipe goes down off the turbo,then it looks like another pipe comes out about 3/4 along the way of that pipe.there is a plate that opens and closes.when it is closed you wont have the loud exhaust noise,open you will have the noise and better performance,like running open downpipe
