Default Dynoed my GSR

I dynoed my 99' GSR with the Drag Gen III kit today (5.8psi). I pulled 270hp and 180ft-lbs of torque. I'm very excited about the hp numbers, but a little disappointed about the torque numbers. What are the rest of you running as far as torque numbers?

Thanks!

I have a Thermal Exhaust with a 3" cat conv.

No boost controller... just the Tial wastegate with .4 spring ~ 5.8psi

Stock engine and clutch.

Can anyone host my dyno plot? I would like to get some opinions on the A/F ratios.

leon,

list your setup....i'm still in disbelief over the 270whp with only 5.8pounds of boost...especially since the drag kits don't post that much power with only 6 pounds of boost.

What is considered an ideal air/fuel ratio on the dyno plot?

He's running kinda lean.. around 13:1.. which is why he's gettin such high HP. My friend got the same exact numbers on the same psi.. 5.8 with the TiAL. Same, just DRAG III and a 3" exhaust.

FalconGSR - thanks for posting the dyno for me.

I have a stock GSR engine with the basic Drag Gen III kit with boost regulated by the Tial wastegate (.4 bar spring). 3" Thermal Exhaust with 3" cat. conv. I have not changed my stock VTEC crossover point.

I feel like I'm OK with the A/F above 5k rpms at 13-12.5, but I am a little nervous before that point. Are the A/F ratios dangerously lean? Any suggestions? My plugs looked fine the last time I looked at them (last oil change ~3k miles ago). I'll check them again next weekend when I change my oil again.

in the lower rpms yes you are dangerously lean. when cruising at lower rpms your egt temps will go sky high. richen them up.

My EGT never goes above 800 C on a full WOT run (most of the time its 750 C) , and that 750-800 C is only up near readline. Cruising in lower rpms I'm around 500-600 C, and at highway speeds 70-80mph I'm between 600-700 C.
